Avoid eating or drinking for at least 6 hours prior to surgery. Take daily medications with a small sip of water at least 2 hours before the procedure. Arrange for someone to drive you home, as you should not drive or operate heavy machinery for 24 hours after surgery.

Some discomfort is normal. Your doctor will provide pain medications and post-operative instructions to ensure a comfortable recovery.

While a referral from your general dentist is often required, it's best to check with the endodontist's office regarding their referral policy.
